Codcut

A paid research pilot from Codcut

Competitor
Change Brief

For fractional product marketers serving B2B SaaS clients.

Three weekly, source-linked briefs showing what five competitors changed, so you can walk into client calls already caught up.

Evidence before opinion

A compact record of what changed, not a pile of alerts.

Each item includes the observed change, its public source and date, then a clearly labeled interpretation for PMM review.

Improvements to Cursor in Slack

What changed · factual

Cursor expanded its Slack agent workflow with pre-execution plans, status updates, named multi-repository environments, and cross-channel and thread access.

Official source ↗

Why it may matter · interpretation

This shifts Cursor’s collaboration story beyond a single IDE or repository toward supervised agent work inside team communication workflows.

Three weeks. Fixed scope.

Useful signal on a predictable cadence.

  1. 01

    Agree the watchlist

You name one B2B SaaS client and five competitors. We confirm up to 30 relevant public sources before monitoring starts.

  2. 02

    Receive one brief each week

Each source-linked brief separates factual observations from concise interpretation and reaches up to three named recipients.

  3. 03

Bring it into the client call

Use the evidence to decide what deserves a closer look. One correction round covers factual or source-link errors during the pilot.

Quiet-week behavior

No material public change found.

If the agreed source set produces no material change, the weekly brief says so plainly and lists the sources checked. A quiet week is a finding, not a reason to manufacture one. It still counts as one of the three briefs.

Clear boundaries

What this pilot is, and what it is not.

Public sources only

No private data or paywall bypass. No customer logins, gated databases, or confidential sources.

Scheduled weekly, not real-time

This is a three-week monitoring pilot, not continuous alerts or a historical competitor audit.

Evidence with restrained interpretation

Relevance notes support your judgment. They are not strategic, legal, financial, or security advice.

No guarantee every change is detected

Public pages move, disappear, block access, or publish imperfect information. Codcut reports what agreed sources show.

Material details

Pilot terms

Start and delivery

Service begins after payment and completed intake. The three briefs arrive on one agreed weekly delivery day.

Fixed watchlist

Competitors and core sources are fixed during the pilot; additions require a separate agreement. A moved or missing source URL may be reasonably replaced.

Excluded deliverables

No historical audit, real-time alerts, full messaging strategy, battlecards, win/loss research, customer interviews, market sizing, legal review, or implementation work.

Refund policy

The pilot is non-refundable once source setup has started because monitoring capacity is reserved. If Codcut cannot begin the pilot, your payment will be refunded.
